**NEW RELEASE - The Genesis Project**...
Title: The Genesis Project - Prophecy of the Seven
Author: C.L. De Leon
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Length: 455 Pages
Price: $2.99
What would you do if you had the power to save humanity from the face of dark and the seemingly sealed fate of ultimate death? Would you gather the courage to stand up and fight, or would you break down, buckling under the pressure of almost certain death?
Reighlyn D’Crey lived a normal teenage existence until her eighteenth birthday – then everything she knew crumbled to ash around her. It was a time that should have been filled with joy, but quickly turned into the fight of her life, the fight for her life and the fight for all of mankind.
Reighlyn is different than other teenage girls. Gifted. She possesses rare talents that most people couldn’t even dream of. She kept them a secret all her life, until the day of her eighteenth birthday. Reighlyn’s mother received a letter from Reighlyn’s father – a man long though to have been dead. The letter details a horrible truth: The world as they knew it would cease to exist if a group of powerful terrorists called The Militia, had their way. The Militia were planning a takeover extraordinaire. Their main focus was to capture all of the gifted from the earth. Reighlyn and her mother, Rowan, were left with little choice; they had to run. Escape was their only option and they fled to the one place where Reighlyn’s father said they would always be safe: The Sonora Caves.
After an intense run-in with the Militia, sparks fly between Reighlyn and a dark and mysterious man with strange but alluring eyes. He does the unthinkable: Before letting Reighlyn, Rowan and her friend Blaine leave without reproach, the man promises to find Reighlyn again. Who is this strange but undeniably sexy man?
Reighlyn’s entire existence is redefined once again in Sonora where she learns she is the leader of a prophesied group, who have waited patiently for her to find her way; to lead them all in more ways than one. The prophecy reads, “A group of seven will champion those in need. They will be the new beginning, and the end to war, without them, all will be lost. To the one who is above all, none are more important than her. She who is born under the full moon and who has been kissed by fire, she who has no beginning and has no end, she who wields five will lead the Seven. She who is marked with the seven stars upon her skin. Without the one, the six will fail. The world would fail and all will have been for naught.”
Reighlyn must learn to come into her own as a woman as she learns to fight, lead and love with a fire emblazoned heart. Balancing love, the heavy weight of being a prophesized leader and learning to move forward in a strange new world can be quite a load for any girl to bear. As the war rages on, can the Seven defeat the evil Militia with Reighlyn at the helm? The Militia, who so efficiently and effectively destroyed modern civilization with their careless tactics, will not go down without a fight. Let’s hope the Seven area not too late.

Paisley
I’m discovering who I am in this world. Venturing out on my own, away from my parents, and finding out what life is really all about. College isn’t as easy as I thought it would be, especially with my best friend Evan becoming someone I hardly recognize. But then I met Gabe. He changed everything. My life will never be the same.
Gabe
I lived my life day to day, waiting for something great to happen. Then she walked into the coffee house, with her long legs and killer smile. I had to know her. Nothing was going to stop me. She hypnotized me from the moment I laid eyes on her. And after the first kiss, my fate was sealed to Paisley.

“Who is that hot guy? I think he’s checking you out.” Kristy poked my side.
I followed her gaze. Gabe.
“Go talk to him.” She pushed me.
“I, uh, I already did.”
Her eyes lit up. “Seriously? Well, who is he?”
I shrugged. “I met him before work at a coffee shop. He stared at me the whole time. Then tonight, when he got here, he watched me like he is now.” I should feel self conscious, but I didn’t. “As I waited for you, he came and talked to me, but Evan chased him away. To be honest, he’s freaking me out a little.” Kind of, but he intrigued me so much more.
“He can’t keep his eyes off of you.”
She was right. Even as he spoke to the guy with him, his eyes never left me. My heart raced. I honestly didn’t know what to think. It wasn’t like I’d never dated before. I’d had a few boyfriends in high school, but nothing serious.
“Go talk to him,” Kristy pressed.
“Who?” Evan showed up at just the right time. Go figure.
“No one,” I said quickly.
“She’s being silly. That guy.” Kristy pointed. Great, now he knew we were talking about him.
“She needs to stay away from him.” Evan put his arm around me again, only now he put a little more weight against me. If I didn’t think he’d fall, I’d have moved.
Kristy stared at Evan’s arm a moment then asked, “Why? He’s hot.”
“I don’t know. But my roommate says he’s trouble.”
Of course he was. He parked his bike wherever he wanted. “I need to use the restroom. Hold my drink.” I handed it to Kristy.
I wandered around the house. It was two stories, surely they had a restroom down here, but I didn’t find one. I headed up the creaky stairs. Sounds of groaning welcomed me at the top, making me giggle. Some people were having a lot of fun.
After using the restroom, I checked my appearance in the mirror. I turned by head back and forth. Maybe I did need to let my hair down. Tugging the elastic out, I let my long locks fall over my shoulder. I fluffed it with my fingers. The crease wasn’t so bad, and besides, more than half the people here were drunk. They weren’t going to care how my hair appeared.
I left the bathroom and stopped in my tracks. Leaning against the opposite wall was Gabe.
“Uh, hey again.” I grinned awkwardly.
“Having a good time?”
“I guess.”
A girl walked up wobbly, holding the wall the whole way. She pushed me out of the way, slamming the bathroom door. Now I stood close to him. Near enough I could touch him if I wanted.
“You sure that guy isn’t your boyfriend?”
I nodded. “Positive.”
“He comes across like he is.” His blue eyes bore in to mine.
“Well, he isn’t. Why would I lie?”
He shrugged. “Walk with me.”
I glanced around. We were upstairs, and there wasn’t anywhere to go. I knew once I went down stairs and Evan saw, he’d stop us. “It’s not a good idea.”
“Why?”
I leaned closer to him, inhaling his intoxicating scent and said, “From what I hear, I should stay away from you.”
He chuckled. “Is that so? And what do you think?”
I think I should see where he wants to take me, but I didn’t say that. “I don’t know you.”
“Then get to know me. Come on. One little walk. What could go wrong?”
The bathroom door opened and the drunk girl reemerged. “Awesome party!”
I laughed and watched as she concentrated on walking. Poor girl. I hoped she made it down the stairs.
“So?” He raised an eyebrow.
It was tempting. Take a walk with him, talk, get to know him, and find out why everyone thought he was trouble. “I think I’m going to pass.”
The cutest smirk I’d ever seen appeared on his face. “Paisley, you’re really going to make me work, aren’t you?”
The sound of my name on his lips was like music. “How did you know my name?” That was stupid, he could’ve asked someone.
“From the coffee shop when you got a drink.”
“Oh, yeah.”
He reached out and brushed a lock of hair from my face. My breath caught when his fingers lightly touched my skin, and I swear every nerve was on end.
“I like a good challenge.” He walked away, leaving me standing there, speechless.

My Writing Process...
I've been invited to participate in the MY WRITING PROCESS blog hop...
1. What am I working on?
Yesterday I finished edits on my third novel. It's a contemporary romance tentatively titled, 'Full Pursuit'. This is the story of Nicole, a girl that gets tricked into planning her twin sister's wedding, and Chase, the handsome and determined cop that ends up being the Best Man. They first meet when Nikki gets pulled over for a broken taillight while wearing only her bra and panties. Naturally, Chase is taken with her from the start.
Despite the chemistry they seem to have, each has their own reasons and secrets that fill them with doubt. Can a weekend on the river be enough to overcome their fears, or is it over before it ever begins?
2. How does my work differ from others in its genre?
By default much of my writing falls into the New Adult (NA) category. This isn't by design. These are simply the stories that come to me. I happen to believe that the transition from your teens into full adulthood is an interesting time in a person's life. It only happens once. You're bound to make a few mistakes along the way due to changing emotions and inexperience.
One major difference between my books and those that are prominent in NA is that I write about average people with average lives. My characters, while flawed in their own way, aren't broken or tormented. They have struggles and obstacles that you might have yourself if you were in their shoes.
3. Why do I write what I do?
I only write the types of books that I would want to read myself. That's my benchmark. If I can't get drawn in by my own characters, then I'm not doing my readers any justice. That's not to say everyone will enjoy and connect with everything I create. We all have different tastes and interests. For me, it's about staying true to myself.
4. How does my writing process work?
My subconscious is in constant creative mode. I tend to get new book ideas at the most inconvenient times, like while driving. So what I do to preserve the information is to send myself an email with as much detail as possible so I can recall it all later. I have an entire folder full of stories waiting to be told.
Once I start a project I tend to fly by the seat of my pants. There's no outlining for this girl! I always know how I want to start and end a book, and maybe even a few key scenes throughout, but much of the middle is what flows when I sit down and start typing. I've even surprised myself a few times with some of the twists and turns I've written along the way. It's one thing to read a book and think 'wow, I didn't see THAT coming' but it is entirely different to be writing one and have that same reaction. In that sense, I can honestly say I'll never get bored with being an author!

I'd like to thank author, Antonia Van Zandt, for inviting me to be a part of this exciting blog hop. Find, like, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter!!! You'll definitely want to keep her on your watch list!
I did attempt to spread the love. Unfortunately, everyone I invited to join in the fun either didn't have a blog of their own, or had already participated. So, I suppose, this thread ends with me. All good things must come to an end, though! Happy Reading, Everyone!
